PCTFE (Polychlorotrifluoroethylene), widely known with the name of PCTFE (or KEL-F until some years ago), is a fluorinated crystalline polymer obtained from the polymerization of chlorotrifluoroethylene. Unlike other fluorinated materials, this material contains a greater number of chlorine than fluorine atoms. This majority leads to a more solid material while maintaining all the fluorinated characteristics.
It is available on the market in different size and formats (rods and tubes) and the choose depends on the use. Due to its high insulation and thermal stability properties over a wide temperature range, PCTFE can be used in various sectors: cryogenic, aeronautical, space, military, medical, pharmaceutical, chemical, electric, etc.
